Hi friends,

My name is Flo, short for Florence. If you asked me to describe myself in the past, “writer” was an adjective I never considered. Yet one thing to know about me is that I’ve always expressed myself better through writing – journaling, emailing, sending love letters to loved ones, etc. Recently, I decided to put my writing out there.

I started because I wanted to create a space to glorify God and to testify about what Jesus has done for and through me. I also love uplifting, encouraging and bringing joy to others 💕 Building value and leaving people, spaces, and places better off for my presence is one of my personal values.

My hope is that I’ll encourage you, inspire you, entertain you, teach you, touch your heart, and perhaps find in you a kindred spirit. I almost didn’t start this blog though. Anyone who knows me well will tell you that I’m a very private person. I’m an ambivert and I don’t open up to people easily.

So I was afraid to put myself out there. I was afraid of rejection. I was worried that people wouldn’t be interested in reading blogs and long stories anymore. I was concerned that no one would be interested in what I have to say. However, I’m doing it afraid anyway. I’m finding my voice and putting it out there. I’m allowing myself to bloom.

The name “iBloom” is derived from my name which means to bloom, to blossom, to flourish, to prosper. As I was thinking about the name and intention for this blog, I had the mental picture of a flower opening up, blooming. I believe we’re all created to flourish and prosper and bloom.
